Just a briefing on numbers and such.
Men's ended last week with a 20.5 up 24% Company was down 3.
Macc ended with a 5.9 down 6%. Company was down 3. We didn't comp in macc this week. Most was due to the 50% off sale. Yes! We may have had a good sell off on our sale items. But that doesn't mean much when the prices were slashed. Its the $$$!!! So, if we didn't have the sale and macc was full. We would have sold less. However, we would have comped in this area. By making more dough!
Good News!
Season to date Men's and Macc are Comping!! Men's season to date is up 14% Company is up 2%. Macc season to date is up 8% company is down 1%. So, while this is great! Let's aim much higher! Our Department has the highest season to date! (Like Tony said "A TRIANGLE CAN'T STAND UPSIDE DOWN."
Mounting Comebacks!
Knit tops 213's up 2. Graphics 214's up 100. Heavy knits and jackets 216's up 260. Basics 241's up 53. Pants 221's up 53. Denim 222's up 3. Blazers and Jackets 230's up 50. These classes blew company out the water! Great job team!
Now for the not so hot. When it is cold outside! Outerwear 232's. was down 101. Company was down 95. Wovens 215's down 1. Company was up 4. We tried and did our best! These two classes have been a consistent struggle since I moved to men's.
Question! WHAT CAN WE DO TO FIX THIS?! NICO AND I ARE UP FOR SUGGESTIONS!
We received first and furthers this week. Please tackle that after shipment! This week we need to velocitize the graphic table. For goodness sakes, keep our floor filled and closed out properly. I think the close wasn't too bad Tuesday night!
A few said they do not want to see pictures like that again. Nico, thanks for that. They needed to see how it sets off a day unsuccessful!
Team! I asked that you have a manager walk your closes. Let them know that you have pride in your floor! Your input was amazing during the meeting. Its good that you all care.
Speaking of closes! I did the back of the denim bar last night. I should have taken a photo of it. But I showed them this last night. I found so many ditches and nonsense back there. Sale, basics, graphics, wacc, etc... it was bloody ridiculous!! STOP PLAYING!!!!
Thursday, Nico and I are going to walk the floor for your weekend directives. Enjoy your Wednesday! Hump hump hump! What's so important about 12/12/12? To me it equals 36. Or, if you add the two 12's and subtract the last 12. You are back at 12. You multiply three 12's you get 1728. Add the 8 & 7 you get 15 minus 2 & 1 which is 3. We are back at 12. Add 8 & 1 which is 9. 7 & 2 is 9. Subtract those you end up at 0. Pointless! Such bloody nonsense! Now fill that floor! Back to reality!
We will walk our promo signage tomorrow. Just to make sure we are still updated and such.
There's a 20% off merchandise popping off tonight from 5-close! Keep that sale clean!
Macc! Boots 322's, casual shoes 321's. Hats 252's and Socks. Ended on the plus side. We didn't comp in socks. The others did! While gloves and scarves were in the negative, but killed company!
